What is EMAL?
The Environmental Management Agency Laboratory (EMAL) is an AN ISO 17025:2017 ACCREDITED LABORATORY SINCE 2012 TO DATE Accredited to SADCAS (Southern African Development Community Accreditation Services) based in Botswana. The Laboratory offers the following services:

- Metals including Mercury and arsenic using Atomic Absorption Spectrophotometer (AAS) and Inductively Coupled Plasma Mass Spectrophotometer Time of flight (ICP/MS-TOF)
- Cyanide, Nitrates, Phosphates, Sulphides, Chloride, Turbidity, pH, Electrical Conductivity, Sulphates, Biological Oxygen Demand (BOD5), Dissolved Oxygen, Chemical Oxygen Demand (COD), Total Hardness, Permanganate Value, Grease and oil, Total Dissolved Solids, Total Suspended Solids, Alkalinity, Chromium hexavalent
- coli, Faecal coliforms, total coliforms, heterotrophic plate count at 22oC and 37oC, faecal streptococci, diatoms, antimicrobial susceptibility test (AST)
